PCC Calculator For Concreting Work

PCC Calculator For Concreting Work can be used to calculate the required quantities of cement, sand and crushed stones during casting of beams, slabs and columns.

This calculator is useful for civil engineers, architects, and construction professionals who are involved in the planning and execution of concrete-related tasks. It works as per the defined ratio of cement, sand, and stone aggregates.

To use it effectively, a user needs to input the dimensions of the planned structure such as length, breadth and height. The calculator then uses this data to provide an estimated quantity of materials needed.

This tool thus helps in cost estimation by giving an approximate idea about how much material would be required

Example for Calculating the Quantity of Materials In 1 CUM of Concrete.

Consider concrete with mix (M10) of proportion 1:3:6 = 10 where, 1 is part of cement, 2 is part of fine aggregates and 4 is part of coarse aggregates of 20mm Size. The Sum of ratio is 10

We assume the bulk density of Cement as 1440 Kg/m3, Sand = 1450 Kg/m3 and Coarse Aggregates as 1500 Kg/m3.

Dry Volume of Materials in 1 Cum of Concrete = 1 x 1.54 = 1.54

Formula for Calculation

Quantity of Materials in Kgs = Dry Volume of Materials X (Portion of materials in Ratio / Sum of Ratios ) X Density of Materials

1, Quantity of Cement in 1 CUM Concrete is = 1.54x 1/10 x 1440 = 221.76 Kgs

2, Quantity of Sand in 1 CUM Concrete is = 1.54 x 3/10 x 1450 = 669.90 Kgs

3, Quantity of Aggregates in 1 CUM Concrete is = 1.54 x 6/10 x 1500 = 1386.00 Kgs
