Contemporary Penthouse For Mr.Joseph

Basic Concept drawing for a contemporary house of 2690 sq.ft at Trivandrum.

The requirement was to create

•   Three bedrooms, and a private family room.

•   with ample of light and air.

•   Vastu compliant contemporary penthouse.

•   The staircase block rises high to keep out the hot air.

•   The air vents below helps in constant circulation.

•    We have also added a vertical garden at open terrace.

•    Outdoor seating. 

Construction Highlights

Civil

Pile foundation. Cement solid block masonry plastered with cement.

Flooring

Vitrified tiles 600x600 for entire villa except for the kitchen, work area.

Kitchen

Vitrified tile flooring 400 x 400 size. Counter with granite top. Ceramic tile dado upto 2 feet. Single bowl sink with drain board.

Toilets

Ceramic tile flooring and wall tiles up to the ceiling. Wall mounted sanitary wares of parryware/Cera or equivalent., CP bath fittings Cera/Hindware or equivalent.

Concealed plumbing with PVC pipes. Provision for geyser hot and cold mixer with shower, exhaust fan point.

Electrical

3 phase power supply with concealed wiring in PVC conduits controlled by ELCB and MCB. Modular Switches Legrand/Crabtree or equivalent. 

Wiring cable finolex or equivalent. Two lights, two plugs, one fan point in the living, bed, dining rooms. One light point in bath rooms. One plug point for the fridge, one for washing machine and one for mixer/grinder in the kitchen.

Doors & Windows

Teak wood main door, moulded panel doors for interiors. Hardwood windows with M.S. grills and glazed shutters. 1-meter wide main door and other doors of 90 cm and 75 cm fibre door for toilets. 

Painting

Internal walls and sealing emulsion painting with putty finish. External walls weather shield or equivalent.
