Renovation of Fine Arts Society Building
This Building was a very old 3 storeyed building situated at Fortkochi.
The building was strengthened by providing ISMB 200 @ 3.30m intervals on 3 sides of the building and bracing them with ISMC 150 & 100 on 1st and 2nd-floor levels.
This work commenced on 21st February 2014 and completed on 20th April 2014, about 2 1/2 months before the agreed date of completion.

Steel columns ISMB 200 were provided Rcc 1:1.5 3 foundations with 12mm thick m s plates, 20 mm dia Bolts & Nuts.

The front portion of the building was widened by 2.1m width and 9.6 m in length. This was done by priding 150 &100mm steel channels as frames and

The flooring was done with cement concrete 1:2:4 with 20mm broken stone over 5 cm thick Aircon panels and plastered with cm 1:4 15mm thick with cement flushing coat with Red oxide.

Existing Rcc staircase was demolished from inside of the building and this space is also converted into office space on 1st & 2nd floors in the same manner as provided on the front side.

New spiral Mild Steel Staircase is also provided with 150 mm GI Pipes as central column and is made with 50*50mm Angle Iron as frames and treads are covered with 3 mm thick chequered plates. This staircase is then painted with 2 coats black enamel paints with mat finish over a coat is an Anti-corrosive metal primer.

Roofing is provided with Aluminum powder coated sheets. 150mm Aluminum gutters and 110mm PVC Rainwater pipes are also provided.

The false ceiling is provided with Aerolite sheets on Aluminum Angles and Tees.

New water tank and Septic tank are also provided.

All water supply fittings are of make Cera and sanitary fittings are provided with make Hindware

The building is painted with 2 coats of Interior emulsion over a coat of interior primer with2 coats of wall putty.

External walls are painted with 2 coats of exterior emulsion over a coat of exterior primer
A citation was awarded to us for the completion of Building in record time and to the entire satisfaction of the Fine Arts Society and the Architect.
