The floors of a structure that is covered with tiles are referred to as tiles floors.
Method of Construction:
The ground is solidified.
A layer of clean m-sand minimum 10cm thick.
Base concrete is formed by laying 10cm thick Lime Concrete or Lean Cement Concrete with ratios 1: 4: 8 and 1:8:16 likewise. It is properly cured with water.
Screed battens are used to spread a thin coating cement mortar, which is then correctly levelled and secured at a suitable height.
When the surface mortar has cured adequately, a 6mm thick bed of cement mortar at a ratio of 1:5 is laid and tiles are placed on top.
Any excess mortar which gets out of the joints is wiped off.
Tile Joints are filled with suitable epoxy
For tile laying on the first floor onwards, we can omit the first three steps.
